50/50 by 2020 Political Action Committee has released their next round of endorsements for the 2018 MidTerms. Their first section was Alyse Galvin, Independent Candidate running for the U.S. House of Representatives for Alaska.

Today they announced two more endorsements: Abigail Spanberger, Democrat running for the U.S. House of Representatives for Virginia 7th and Young Kim, Republican running for the U.S. House of Representatives for California 39th. Both candidates are in tight races, statistically tied with their opponents. Visit the 50/50 by 2020 PAC Candidate page for details at: 5050by2020pac.com/candidates/

Note from 50/50 by 2020 PAC regarding Endorsed Candidates

As much as we would like to, we can not financially support every woman individually running for Congress. We are a new Committee and are selecting just a handful of candidates to support in this run-up to the MidTerm election on November 6. We are a non-connected grassroots PAC that does not accept corporate donations. We are primarily supporting candidates through independent expenditures on social media that are not coordinated with the candidates.

We are supporting ALL women candidates running for Congress through a series of social media posts titled “What Unites Us” that shares key uniting characteristics about candidates throughout the U.S. All women running will be highlighted at least once this election cycle.

We hope to support even more women with individual endorsements in the coming years to reach our goal of 50/50 by 2020.

Our Selection Process
Our volunteer Board of Directors independently researches candidates and works to find a consensus on which candidates to support. Candidates are not contacted or consulted during the vetting period.

We are Pan-Partisan open to supporting candidates from any party or no party at all. In a race where two women are running, we have decided to remain neutral. It’s already a win!
